Brushed Mohair Yarn

This fuzzy yarn is very interesting and a much-loved part of my yarn stash for many years. It is soft and fluffy to the touch and gives off a glowy, halo effect when paired with other yarns. Though this yarn has a fine nylon core, the mix of fluffy mohair and wool bulk the yarn out to a light DK weight. 

I love plying my handspun yarns with it (pictured). When I hand weave with this yarn, I usually pair it with a chunkier yarn to speed up the weaving.

Perfect for hand dyeing - this yarn soaks up vivid colours like a treat. Once dyed, the yarn takes on less of a wispy look and becomes lightly felted in appearance. The natural colour of this yarn is a very light creamy white with no yellow undertones.
